Bumble Bees (Pre-School)
Our pre-school children are offered a rich learning environment & opportunities to further develop themselves. We promote a child-led approach & get to know our children well, considering their own individual interests in our class planning. Pre-school is an important time for children to socialise, interact & learn together before making the transition to primary school. Children choose their own activities as well as being encouraged to participate in adult-led learning. We support children to recognise emotions & their impact on others, encourage friendships & value each child’s ideas & opinions. Throughout the year, topics broaden across the Specific Areas of Learning:-Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design. Bumble Bees join the school for lunch in the dining hall & interactions begin with Dragonflies (Easebourne Reception Class) to promote familiarity prior to transition to primary school.
